ketakutan
What literally keeps haunting at the back of my head right now is, well… my studies.
I mean I’ve heard so many stories of students failing subjects, repeating years, etc etc.
I suddenly question my own capability to do so. To carry this course. Definitely, I will try my very best. After the fall of my SPM, and also a very obsessed room mate in Egypt, I’m very sure I’ll study hard.
But how much studying can one person do to ensure he/she doesn’t fail?
To take it to the extremes, is kinda scary. First year itself is hard, what more the next 5 years. But I’ll try my best I promise. Increasing my memory power is one thing. By drinking honey mixed with milk, and also making raisins as a snack. Azali Azlan’s secrets. I’ve learnt a lot from my future house mates, they taught me a lot about Islam and etc.
I think to compare myself now than before, a couple of days won’t pass by without me reading the Qur’an.
& living with Opah last year has taught me to read the Yaasin every friday night, is a must for me now.
My dilemma on whether I should go to Egypt as a hijabi girl or not was finally answered. No, I won’t go there as a Hijabi. I’m just not ready. I do want to wear it, but maybe not now. Some people from my batch do look “serong” at us for this. But the fact is, I know some girls there, whose behaviour are worse than us free hairs. Sometimes we’re even better.
I still do take care of what I wear, what I do and how I handle things. When people say, or hate, non-hijabi girls for not wearing them, although they know they should, I say this.
We’re raised this way. To simply go to that state and jump to that other way, makes things insincere, that is, in my opinion lah. There are pros and cons to it. So, I just want to take my time and learn things first.
Niat pegi Mesir: Nak belajar ilmu Allah SWT. To find the answer to all my curious questions of the human science, and to learn deeper about Islam itself.
Its sad to know that my close friends are flying off soon.
Indonesia: Mid August
India: End of August
Russia: Early September
Salam alaik.
p/s: Rindu kawan-kawan GMN. Genting, jom? Hehe
redang’s mystique
My review on Redang?
Everything is perfect, except for the corals. Snorkelling was fun, etc etc. But most of the corals have died. ;(
But I did get to see some beautiful ones.
New experience, new place.
The food was good, the service was good. What more can I say?
I was tired due to the packed activities that we had, but nevertheless it was well worth it.
I’m kinda lazy to upload the pics. They’re already in facebook. Perhaps the next post?
Redang is soooo cantik. Trust me.
No need to go any further, just look for islands in Malaysia itself is enough.
Toodles!
phobia
Cicaks. Yes, I am CICAKPHOBIC.
Those creatures are just so eeeeeeeewwwwwwwww. They’re creepy crawly 4-leg thingies that just gets on my nerves!
They’re everywhere! I hate those especially with long, stripy tails. oooohhh yeah, the disadvantage of living in a private, secluded space, surrounded by trees. Lotsa “forest” animals are around the house. Insects and beruks, especially.
How cicakphobic am I?
Well, if there is a cicak on a wall I would panic when I pass by that space. Or I won’t pass by it at all. Usually when I walk around the house I would look up at the ceiling, checking if the coast is clear, resulting into my neck aching. I know. Thats how cicaks invade my life.
Grrrrrrrrrrr. SCREW YOU CICAK!
Btw, read this blog if you’re not a fan of cicak as well. Superbly funny. Hahha

bless the broken road
In one weekend, I managed to see some of my friends. Cut down the list of people to see before Egypt.

Nariza Ty Yen-Yi. Of course I would see more of them in the upcoming 3 months, minus Nar. Till next year’s summer break Nar!

Just when I rejected UiTM’s Diploma in Science course of the Kuala Pilah campus, Sophie got the exact same thing for the second intake. Its like she “replaced” my spot. I havent managed to see her yet, right after she got the news she came back from Changlun and headed to N9 first thing in the morning the next day.
Good for you Soph, I’m happy for you!
Its funny how you talk to friends now on how their lives are, about college and stuff. Some I’ve known for the longest time, from primary, some from high school. Ohhh time passes by so fast, doesnt it?
Tick Tock Tick Tock Tick Tock. Its July 6th. I’m officially 12 weeks and 1 day away from my departure.
Nar: Enjoy every minute you have here, cos you’ll be sooo homesick. It would feel so good to be back home.
Hani: Hmmm. I dont know. I hope I won’t get so home sick.
WILL I? We’ll see.
